1) Summary

Waitly Border is designed with privacy in mind. We do not store your precise GPS location coordinates or location history on our servers. To provide wait-time estimates, Waitly Border sends only wait-time duration (minutes) to our servers to compute average wait times in 30-minute intervals. Waitly does not require user accounts. The App may also use advertising and analytics services such as Google AdMob and (if enabled) Firebase Analytics.

2) Information We Collect

A) Wait-time results (minutes)

When you use Waitly Border, we may collect:

• Wait-time duration (minutes) for a session

• A time window used for grouping (for example, a 30-minute interval)

• Basic operational metadata needed to operate the service reliably (for example, timestamp, app version)

We do not store precise GPS coordinates or location history on our servers.

B) Advertising & analytics data (third parties)

If you use ads (AdMob) and/or analytics (Firebase Analytics), those providers may collect information such as:

• device identifiers (including advertising identifiers where permitted)

• IP address, device model, operating system version, language/region

• app interaction events (for example, screen views, taps), diagnostics/crash data

• information used for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention

This data is processed under Google’s and/or the provider’s policies and settings.

3) How We Use Information

We use information to:

• compute average wait times in 30-minute periods

• improve and update estimates shown in the App

• maintain security and prevent abuse

• troubleshoot issues and improve stability

• display ads and measure ad performance (if enabled)

• understand app performance and usage (analytics, if enabled)

4) What We Do Not Collect

• No account registration (no name, phone number, or email required to use the App)

• No precise GPS coordinate storage on our servers

• We do not sell your personal data

If you contact support, we will receive the information you choose to provide (for example, your email and message).

5) Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information:

• with service providers (hosting, ads, analytics) strictly to operate the App

• if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

• in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger/acquisition), consistent with this policy

6) Retention

• Raw wait-time records (minutes) are retained for up to 7 days, then deleted.

• Aggregated, non-identifying statistics (for example, average wait times per 30-minute interval and counts) may be retained for 30 days or longer to provide trends and analytics in the App.

7) Your Choices and Controls

• You can control location permissions in your device settings. Location access may be required for timing features to work properly.

• You can limit ad personalization where supported (via consent prompts and/or device settings).

• If analytics controls are offered in the App in the future, you can manage them through in-app settings where applicable.

8) Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9) Children’s Privacy

Waitly is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10) International Users

If you use the App from outside the country where our servers or providers operate, information may be processed in other countries.

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice in the App or on a website if available.
